Seeking Happiness

Seeking happiness seems very hard for a lot of people. I can sometimes understand why. Many different people seek happiness in many different ways like money, fame and many other things.  As we grow old or priorities begin to change because of our influences. As kids, all we care about is playing as I observed my brother play with his friends from school I noticed how they seem to be really happy. Many kids at school seek happiness in another sort a way it seems like they enjoy the company and attention that is given to them by their friends.

The youth is different in a way because they are constantly changing because of what their friends tell them what cool and what they should do to feel better, but I believe that they aren’t understanding that someone cant tell you what to do so you can be happy it something you have to figure out by experimenting. As teenagers I observed that we can be easily disconnected from this world and reality through social media, to a point I think we wouldn’t be able to go on with our lives if it was taken away from us. We also forget the true meaning of communicating with others personally and face to face.

Communication is important because it develops a bond between a father and a son. It creates an ambience where a child can trust his or her mom to tell them what they are going through. As parent the only thing that seems to make them happy is their children and their accomplishments. They are happy when his or her son accomplishes something they couldn’t accomplish during their lifetime. Which is why happiness for people comes in many different ways because everyone is different nobody is the same everyone has something special and unique about them.

  1. It is sad how it can be difficult for people to be happy. It's also true how as we grow up we get caught up into the "important" things such as grades, work, paying bills, etc. and we don't get to enjoy life because of that.

  2. I agree with you that we have to experiment with things in order to find true happiness. I don't think a person can tell you one thing and expect to be happy.

  4. I think the reasons kids are so much happier than adults is because of their innocence. It's one of the things we all have to lose and most of the time it's in the teenage years. I think that's why they try to isolate themselves so much, because they want the innocence back but they can't.
