Kids

Today was a long day for me at school and I’m exhausted because I didn’t get enough sleep the day before from the dogs barking outside. As I came home from school my little brother and my cousins were laughing and enjoying their talk about how their day at school was. It made me so curios to wonder why were they making plans for what they were going to play for the day. They had many choices; they could play soccer, Legos or wrestling. It’s really quite interesting how they always have energy and their way of thinking is splendorous. They are not hit by reality yet so they dream and dream about what they can become the day of tomorrow. Some of them want to go to space others want to be cops; one of them said he wanted work in McDonalds.

I noticed that every kid dreams big, there is not one that doesn’t. I just wonder why am I not like them when did my curiosity end? Why am I not as energetic as they are? It is as if I was hit by a shade a black it doesn’t want to come off no matter what I do. School is what I hate, and its not because of the work but because it killed my curiosity. It wasn’t my friends that influenced a great part of what I am today it was knowledge that stop curiosity.

Knowledge is good and bad good because we can explain why the sun hides at night and why the moon hides during day. We can also explain other things like why are there different seasons throughout the year. My cousins and my little brother are annoying as heck but they have many good features. They amaze me in so many ways, they also teach me to play and have fun. I learned that I should not waste my time on social media but to waste it on something productive like making friends and playing Lego toys. The most important thing is to keep on dreaming, there is no limit or age to stop dreaming and If I cant get something right I should try again until I succeed just as they build Legos piece by piece until the final piece is gently added that is when you realize what a magnificent Lego I have built. Sure it my takes me sometime but in the end if I enjoyed it and had fun then it was well worth my time.

  1. What you've discovered and what you have to say are mature and important.

  2. I think as people grow up they forget to enjoy all the little things that we enjoyed as kids. Sometimes we just need a little reminder to slow down and enjoy life

  3. I always asked the same questions with my niece as well. I can see how you think that knowledge kills your curiosity. I can totally see your side on that and agree.
I really enjoyed reading your blog, the way it goes and the way it is worded.
